VDS5000 Manual Vacuum Distillation System
Description
The Koehler VDS5000 Manual Vacuum Distillation System is the latest design for determining, at reduced pressures, the range of boiling points for petroleum products according to ASTM D1160 and related specifications. A 5-Liter Stainless Steel Surge Tank is used to reduce pressure fluctuations during testing. The control unit of the system features a versatile, compact, modern design. Dual temperature displays independently show both the overhead and flask temperature of the system.

- New water catch tray that slides to the side for hassle-free removal of the lower receiver (no longer requires complete disassembly of glassware)
- Addition of a vent valve to assist in the draining of liquid from the system
- Modified door hinge system to reduce the footprint of the doors when opened
